About me
Lue Jun Yi has been married to Jynn Choo since 2015 and leads his home church, Grace Life Community Church Rimbayu, Selangor, Malaysia, as an elder. He loves all kinds of sports: football, badminton, squash, tennis, table tennis, pickleball, ultimate frisbee, running, and captainball.
After coming to know Jesus at the age of 13 in a sports camp, Jun Yi found his calling to serve God full-time during his university days. Upon his graduation, he worked as an intern in his former church, followed by 13 years in Scripture Union Peninsular Malaysia, growing the youth and sports ministry. In 2024, he decided to focus on sports to minister to the sporting communities in Malaysia.
Now under Sports Net, Jun Yi hopes to connect and equip sports people to be disciple-makers for Jesus. He coaches captainball in schools and disciples believers in the competitive sports scene. He also supports and partners with churches to use sports to reach their community.
Jun Yi believes that God has given him the passion to serve Jesus in these three areas: youth, sports, and the Bible. In his free time, he enjoys writing reflections about everyday life, Christian living, and satire.
